United Kingdom Parliament

The parish is in the North West Hampshire constituency and the MP is Sir George Young who was first elected Member of Parliament for North West Hampshire on 1st May 1997 with a majority of 11,551 votes. He was re-elected on 7th June 2001 with an increased majority. In the new Parliament following the General Election of 2001, he was elected Chairman of the Select Committee on Standards and Privileges, a post to which he was returned following the 2005 Election. In 2009 he was appointed to the role of Shadow leader of the House.

Graham Stallard who after a career in computer solutions and consultancy, was elected as a Test Valley Borough Councillor for Anna ward in 2007. Graham is Chairman of the Audit Committee, Vice Chairman of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee (OSCOM), a member of the Northern Area Planning Committee, and also represents elected Members on the Council's Information and Communications Systems Board (ICB).
